Goretti ‘Letti’ Chadwick is a Director, a Course Director at the Pacific Institute of Performing Arts (PIPA), a Writer, and an Actor. She is also one-half of the television comedy duo, Pani & Pani, on FreshTV with Anapela Polataivao.
Chadwick has done voice-overs for a number of radio commercials in New Zealand, and has appeared in a few television commercials at the Directorship of Sima Urale.
Chadwick graduated with a Diploma of Stage and Acting from UNITEC in New Zealand in 1995.
Chadwick has appeared in numerous theatre productions throughout her time at UNITEC. They include Under Milkwod, Oedipus Rex, The Diary of Anne Frank, A Midsommer Nights Dream, and Tales of the Arabian Nights.
After graduating from UNITEC, between 1996-99 she performed in One More for the Road, Duffy Blasts Off and Duffy Rocks On. In 2000-01, she performed in Wit, Jingle Bells, and Streetcar Named Desire.
In the past decade from 2002-12, her acting career has seen her perform in theatre productions that include Island Girls, The Taro King, Hymn, The Rock Horror Show, Doubt, My Name is Garry Cooper, Stepping Out, and A Midsummer Nights Dream.
She also performed Pani & Pani with Anapela Polataivao in 2011 at the New Zealand Comedy Festival, and Pani & Pani: Strictly Brown (with Kila Kokonut Krew) in 2009.
Chadwick has worked on two Auckland Theatre Company and PIPA (Pacific Institute of Performing Arts) collaborations, directing Polyhood In Mumuland in 2011 and co-writing and co-directing Sinarella in 2012. For PIPA, Chadwick has co-directed with Anapela Polataivao on Yellowman and Where We Once Belonged in 2010. Where We Once Belonged then went on to be performed by the PIPA graduates at the Brisbane Powerhouse, and at the Frankfurt Book Fair in 2012. Also in the same year, she co-wrote Galulolo (Tsunami) with Victor Rodger, which she co-directed with Anapela Polataivao.
Her success on stage has helped her move into New Zealand film and television. Film credits from 2002-07 include The Legend of Johnny Lingo, Talapasifika, The Overstayer, Siones Wedding, and Apron Strings.
Chadwick’s television credits include The Market, Orange Roughies, A Thousand Apologies, Auckland Daze, and is currently on FreshTV with Anapela Polataivao with their comedy-duo act Pani & Pani, which debuted on New Zealand television in 2011.
