KNOWN FOR: NZ Entertainer, Singer, Comedian and Actor

VILLAGES IN SAMOA: Jackie is of Samoan, English and Scottish descent. Her Scottish grandfather had settled in Apia.



  • Television credits: A judge on NZ Idol, Showcase, co-host of Saturday Live, Skitz and its spin off sitcom The Semisis, Christmas in the Park. Jackie has also presented four documentaries – Wise Women and Song, Twins, ANZAC Songs, and the Scottish episode of the Settlers series.
  • Stage credits: A Christmas Carol, Mum’s the Word, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, Porgy and Bess, Little Shop of Horrors, The Underwater Melon Man, and The World Goes Round. She is also a mainstay of the annual kids theatrical blockbuster The Hairy Maclary Show.
  • Music credits: A member of the group, When The Cat’s Been Spayed, that boasted two successful albums, countless national tours, a plethora of Lotto advertisements and its own Country Calendar special. She has also toured with the likes of Dave Dobbyn and Annie Crummer, and has featured on recordings by Crummer, Dobbyn and many other artists. She also sings in many other groups including the alt-country combo The Darlings, the fab vocal quartet The Lady Killers and the polyester sensation that is Abbalicious.
