Peyton Siva

Peyton Robert Siva Jr. (nickname: Pey-Pey born October 24, 1990 in Seattle, Washington, USA) is a professional Basketball player in the NBA. He is the third person of Samoan heritage who has played in the NBA, after Wally Rank and James Johnson.

Siva is the son of Yvette Gaston and Samoan father, Peyton Siva Sr. He has two other siblings – an older brother Michael and sister Leilanna. Siva married long time girlfriend, Patience McCroskey, on July 27, 2013.



Siva attended the University of Louisville in Louisville, Kentucky, USA – and graduated with a Sociology degree. He played guard position for the Louisville Cardinals Men’s NCAA Basketball team and won two NCAA Men’s Basketball Championships in 2010 and 2013.


Professional Career:

After winning the 2013 NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship, Siva was ready for the 2013 NBA Draft. On June 27, he was selected 56th overall pick in Round 2 of the 2013 NBA Draft by the Detroit Pistons.

He made his professional debut wearing the Pistons jersey on July 7, 2013, in a 76-67 victory against the Brooklyn Nets. This was the Pistons first game of the 2013 NBA Summer League which ran between July 7-12, 2013 in Orlando, and then continues in Las Vegas between July 12-22, 2013.
